Door
Dark oak
Creeping slowly open
Crack of light appearing beneath
Expectations
Poetry about the light within the dark and the dark within the light. Nature and the sense and feelings it provokes.

Spring's Folly
Light milky clouds of gloomy disposition float by,
On blue backdrops in deepening moods
Peeping through the fallen autumn leaves
First of springs green plumes break free
Colors blossoming in deep purples and fuchsia shades
A bird held within a passion flits to and throw in wild abandon
A cat with tail a lashing surveys a tasty meal,
and sets about to assail the testy morsel
Book and glasses shatter as feline pounces
O poor bird flying too low to earth,
Failing to recall his wings were not of wax
On blue backdrops in deepening moods
Peeping through the fallen autumn leaves
First of springs green plumes break free
Colors blossoming in deep purples and fuchsia shades
A bird held within a passion flits to and throw in wild abandon
A cat with tail a lashing surveys a tasty meal,
and sets about to assail the testy morsel
Book and glasses shatter as feline pounces
O poor bird flying too low to earth,
Failing to recall his wings were not of wax

Contrasting Similarities
Light the essence of that is seen
Dark the presence of all the is hidden
In equal measure love is but a thought
And hate takes quite a bit of thought
From the nightmare that springs you in fear from bed
Find comfort in the new day’s lights embrace
The ocean deep is a stubborn brute that will succeed
The unbending rock is a stubborn brute that will fail
Time plays tricks; it folds in upon its self ever moving
Space lays out in solid focus a path to be followed
In the end there was a beginning
In the Beginning there will be an end
Dark the presence of all the is hidden
In equal measure love is but a thought
And hate takes quite a bit of thought
From the nightmare that springs you in fear from bed
Find comfort in the new day’s lights embrace
The ocean deep is a stubborn brute that will succeed
The unbending rock is a stubborn brute that will fail

In the end there was a beginning
In the Beginning there will be an end

In The Night
How dark is night
That it precludes the day
That’s its stars shine brighter
Then our sun could ever hope
In night anything is possible
There is no gleaming reality that
Forces it’s self into our minds
Shining a light onto our deepest hopes
That it precludes the day
That’s its stars shine brighter
Then our sun could ever hope
In night anything is possible
There is no gleaming reality that
Forces it’s self into our minds
Shining a light onto our deepest hopes

The Great Pines
IN WINTER LIGHT TREES DO BATHE
THEIR LIMBS HEAVY WITH THE SNOW
IN GREAT WHITE COATS THEY POSE
THEIR HEAD HELD HIGH
GENTLE BREEZE FLOATS BY SENDING
TENDRILS OF SNOWFLAKES DANCING MERRILY IN-BETWEEN
THE GREAT PINES
THEY LAUGH AS THEY SWIRL AND PLAY THEN LAND JOYOUSLY
TUCKING THEMSELVES IN THE FOLDS OF THE GREAT PINES
SETTLED NOW THEY REST
PURE WHITE AGAINST THE DEEPING EVER GREEN
THEIR LIMBS HEAVY WITH THE SNOW
IN GREAT WHITE COATS THEY POSE
THEIR HEAD HELD HIGH
GENTLE BREEZE FLOATS BY SENDING
TENDRILS OF SNOWFLAKES DANCING MERRILY IN-BETWEEN
THE GREAT PINES
THEY LAUGH AS THEY SWIRL AND PLAY THEN LAND JOYOUSLY
TUCKING THEMSELVES IN THE FOLDS OF THE GREAT PINES
SETTLED NOW THEY REST
PURE WHITE AGAINST THE DEEPING EVER GREEN

Moon
What lies under the mist and fog
The stars that shine with the light of the night
The moon hidden beneath the fog and mist
Glows a steady beacon to all
Follow paths brightly lit
to quiet rivers of moon light
Flow swiftly over idol rocks
that melt into sands flow
Gently down the rivers flow
Rest on padded moss of jade
Sleep in shadows light
Safe in Moons embrace

Ode To A Star
Oh you shimmer so
against the velvet night
If I were to be with you
You who gleam so
How colossal you would be
I would not recognize you little one
here you are but a grain of sand
and still I watch you with fixed fascination
as you twinkle brightly
gleaming so far away
when you are gone
I shall never know
for in my life you shine,
in my child's you will die
Until the last of your rays
should light upon this earth
I shall watch you all my life
and in death shall join you.

The Fool
Of joy and laughter
He know his lot
Of wisdom he cares little
Vagabond creature no home of his
Trends with light foot
For the ground is too heavy
For him
The Excuse he gives
On his back is life’s possessions
Ahead the new
No number holds him to a path
On a whim of fancy flight
Looks not to where he’s been
But to the heaven and their grace
Stops to smell a flower sweeter
At his heels dog persist
One wrong step and he is done
He know his lot
Of wisdom he cares little
Vagabond creature no home of his
Trends with light foot
For the ground is too heavy
For him
The Excuse he gives
On his back is life’s possessions
Ahead the new
No number holds him to a path
On a whim of fancy flight
Looks not to where he’s been
But to the heaven and their grace
Stops to smell a flower sweeter
At his heels dog persist
One wrong step and he is done

In Silence
Oh heaven
Save us from the light
It burns with brilliance
Of the heavens
Bowed down in repentance
Our sins untold in silence breed
Save us from the light
It burns with brilliance
Of the heavens
Bowed down in repentance
Our sins untold in silence breed
The Fall
The fall
On the ledge of heavens light
We did fall
A great height
Darkness save us from the light
Our sins too tall to count
From maze of life’s angels
Deliver us
Souls unkempt
From the lions mane
On the ledge of heavens light
We did fall
A great height
Darkness save us from the light
Our sins too tall to count
From maze of life’s angels
Deliver us
Souls unkempt
From the lions mane
